The Projects Shaping Our Future
For over 35 years, Home of Blessing has provided a safe home, education, and opportunity for girls in Northern Thailand. These projects represent the next chapter of that mission.
Why we Build
Every project at Home of Blessing serves a purpose: creating a safer, healthier, and more sustainable future for the girls who call this place home.
High School Dorm Renovation
This project will transform the downstairs level of the HS Dorm into a safer, more functional space for the girls at Home of Blessing.
Renovations include the bathrooms, laundry area, locker room, homework room, former kitchen and dishwashing area, and several other shared spaces. The goal is to create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that better supports the girls' daily lives and future growth.
Greenhouse Project
At Home of Blessing, we are working toward becoming a self-sustaining home—and a greenhouse is key to that vision.
By growing fresh fruits and vegetables on-site year-round, we can reduce travel, lower costs, and provide consistent, healthy food for the girls. It also creates opportunities for them to learn valuable life skills through farming and stewardship.
This project supports long-term sustainability, safety, and daily care.
Apartments Project
This year, Home of Blessing will break ground on a new apartment community designed for graduates, staff, and visiting teams. As our ministry continues to grow, so does the need for safe and sustainable housing. These apartments will provide graduates with stability during life transitions, create welcoming accommodations for mission teams, and support the dedicated staff who serve the girls every day. More than buildings, these apartments will create a lasting sense of belonging, community, and home for years to come.
Farm & Sustainability Project
Our vision is to create a fully functioning farm at Home of Blessing, providing a safe, sustainable source of food for more than 100 girls.
Today, we have only two pigs—far from enough to meet the needs of our growing home. A working farm would reduce the need for frequent travel, provide fresh and nutritious food, lower long-term costs, and teach valuable life skills.
More than a farm, this project is an investment in safety, sustainability, and a brighter future for every girl at Home of Blessing.
College Funding
At Home of Blessing, our girls dream big—and we believe those dreams are worth investing in.
Education gives them the chance to step into a future they once thought was out of reach. With the right support, they can pursue higher education, develop their talents, and build lives full of purpose and independence.
When you support their education, you’re not just helping them learn—you’re helping them become who they were created to be.
Completed Projects & Current Conditions Below
Current Clothing Lockers – Mold has begun growing inside and along the sides of the lockers, creating an unhealthy environment for the girls' belongings.
These are the original restroom facilities installed when the dormitory was first constructed more than 35 years ago. The toilets do not have flushing systems, requiring the girls to manually flush using buckets of water. With only five toilets serving more than 130 girls, the facilities are overcrowded and no longer meet the needs of the Home.
The bedrooms do not have air conditioning, causing temperatures to become extremely uncomfortable during the hottest months. Many girls choose to sleep on the floor because it is cooler than their beds.
Current Shoe Storage Area – To keep the dorm clean and sanitary, shoes are not allowed inside the living spaces. These racks provide outdoor storage for the girls' footwear.
These aging sinks have served the Home for decades, but the limited counter and washing space creates challenges during busy morning and evening routines.
While improvements have been made to the current dishwashing area, the space is still cramped and struggles to meet the daily demands of the Home.
The current common area serves as a classroom, study hall, project space, and gathering place for the girls. Without adequate desks, tables, or learning resources, the space struggles to meet their needs. This is one of the primary reasons for the High School Dorm renovation project.
This is the main entrance to the dormitory, where more than 130 girls live. The current entrance is small and often becomes crowded during busy times. As part of the complete dorm renovation, we hope to create additional access points and improve the overall layout to provide a safer, more functional, and more welcoming home for the girls.
These window screens are intended to protect the girls from insects while allowing fresh air into the dorm. Over time, however, they collect large amounts of dust, mold, and insect debris. Despite repeated replacements, the screens quickly deteriorate, affecting the air quality inside the dorm and exposing the girls to unhealthy conditions.
